Last summer, I had the privilege of contributing to Cardiff’s urban canvas as part of the City Art Project, an innovative initiative aimed at transforming the city’s battle against graffiti into an opportunity for creative expression.

Volunteering my skills for a cause close to my heart, I took on the task of painting a bridge, turning a frequent target for graffiti into a mesmerizing piece of public art. Inspired by the rich heritage of Welsh tapestry and reflecting the bucolic beauty of the Heath in North Cardiff, this mural stands as a testament to the power of art to not only enhance urban spaces but also to protect and preserve them.

Through this project, we sought to replace the cycle of tagging with a permanent celebration of local culture and natural scenery, contributing to a more vibrant, welcoming city for everyone.
