In the heart of Butetown, we've transformed forgotten canals into canvases of change, blending art, environmental consciousness, and community spirit. Our dynamic project brought together local schoolchildren in three storytelling workshops, where they didn't just learn about climate change—they shaped the narrative, co-creating murals that tell the story of their community's resilience and hope.

These vibrant artworks not only beautify but serve as daily invitations for safer, greener walks along the rejuvenated paths, fostering a newfound sense of belonging and pride. It's more than art; it's a movement where every brushstroke revives a canal, and every mural inspires a step towards a brighter, more connected Butetown.

At the heart of the ward are its canals - arteries that once transported goods to the thriving port were somewhat overlooked and in need of revitalisation.

“WOOOW, This is so beautiful. My Tiger! is that my tiger?”
